My parents and siblings are great cook and because of this innate skill, they were able to put up a small eatery for a living.
My husband is the "chef" of the house, he can make authentic dishes out of the ingredients available in our pantry.
Me? I'm not great and I still have a long way to take to be called a "chef" of our home.
But I so loooovve to cook!
You can call me "by-the-book" cook. :D
I only have the confidence that my dish is yummy when ingredients and procedures written in the recipe is being followed. Good thing I collect and keep recipes for they are my great helper and Yes! "Del-Monte Kitchenomics" recipe are one of my crib sheets.
That's why when I received an event invitation from Del Monte Kitchenomics, I immediately gave my affirmation. For over 30 years, Del Monte Kitchenomics has been helping moms and cooks. Giving a wide variety of dishes that suits someone's time and budget. Who wouldn't want to include Del Monte Spaghetti Pasta and Del Monte Spaghetti Italian Sauce for red spaghetti dish? How about some Del Monte Crushed Pineapple for my carrot cupcake or for hubby's adobo?
Moreover, Del Monte manufacturing plant, being located in Mindanao, is also helping local residents from farming to canning. "Ganyan kami ka-close!" (That's how close our relationship is!)
To celebrate their 30th year as every kitchen's cook aid, Del Monte's "Laking Kitchenomics" is inviting everyone to their event this coming October 12, 2014. It is a one-day nationwide cook off activity to be simultaneously held in Manila, Cebu and Davao. It is a chance for members to meet and great and celebrate 30 years of Kitchenomics. A chance for me to learn new dishes! and meet friends!
If you are interested to join, send an email to Ann Quiogue at annquiogue@gmail.com with your full name, location and mobile number so she can send the details of the activities. You can also contact her through her mobile phone at 0915-839-8582.
Let's join Mommies!
This will also be great venue for us to meet!
See you!

that sounds good, kaya lang ang layo ng venues, walang Laguna :(
ReplyDeleteThat looks like an interesting event. Del Monte is our go-to brand for tomato sauce and spaghetti sauce.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely "Laking Kitchenomics"! My mom used to save all the papers with the recipe from the can of del monte! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteWhew, cook off activities make me nervous. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm nervous too and excited!
DeleteWhew, cook off activities make me nervous. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI love cooking for my family but there are days I run out of recipes to try! Last week, I prepared adobo the whole week but different types pf adobo ha! lol
ReplyDeleteI got that invitation, too, but for one, I am in Davao, and I can't cook for the life of me! I hope you'll learn much from the event.
ReplyDeleteI haven't attended a Kitchenomics event but my mom used to receive tons of recipes from Del Monte Kitchen. I'd love to attend though :) http://vivamanilena.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteAww...I have to be careful about enlisting for October events, my husband might already commit harakiri, hahaha. I unwittingly filled up my September schedule and my hubby is out of his wits looking for ways for us to work our schedules out just so I can go. I may have to give him a break on the following month.
ReplyDeleteBut maybe next time. Thanks for sharing. :)
I would like to come. But where exactly is the venue?
ReplyDeleteTarget venue for Manila is Market, Market or Glorietta Activity Center but this is still for confirmation. For Cebu and Davao, also it is still for finalization. You can send a note to Ann Quiogue at annquiogue@gmail.com for details of the event.
DeleteI used to receive recipes and other fliers from Kitchenomics before, but it somehow stopped. Anyway, will definitely check this out. Hopefully, the venue will be convenient. :) thanks for the information! :)
ReplyDeleteYour very much welcome :D
DeleteI joined. Sana mapili. Thanks to this post, I found out about it. :)
ReplyDeleteWow! I want to join. Mahilig din ako magluto and I frequently use demonte products. Hope I can make it! Thanks for this information.
ReplyDeleteI'm hesitant to join the cook off but I'll be there on the event. Maybe I can have my mom join instead. Afraid ako kasi I'm not a great cook. Pang bahay lang talaga talent ko
ReplyDeleteNaku, nahiya naman ako sa sarili ko :D I don't excel in cooking but here I am, joining at excited pa :D
DeleteI am not a great cook but I will not pass off a chance to join this contest this as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm no cook, but I'm pretty sure I can learn a thing or two if I drop by the event. Good luck to those who are joining!
ReplyDeleteMommy Balot, are you going to the event? I have no talent in cooking so I'm pretty nervous but I'm definitely joining - see you there!
ReplyDeleteYes Mommy Pam, I'm joining the event to learn and for fun coz I'm no good cook either :D See yah!
