Best Buddies?

She likes green color, he likes shades of blue.
She likes to eat oranges, he likes banana.
She likes carbonara pasta, while he prefers hotdog.
She wants to be a doctor someday, while he wants to join the army,
She is afraid of death, while he is scared of ghosts.
She don't want us to get old, while he don't like us get angry from their misdeeds.
Too much distinction!
But there's one thing both of them agreed -- playing and eating during past time :)
What they have is each other, they fight a lot but in the end they always learn to forgive and let go. Sometime I learn from them too.
Indeed, siblings are blessing!

December 2016 WrapUp

Still, a super late post here :(

December, my favorite of all the month. Attended year-end party of hubby’s company. It was a family treat since the company also invited the family members so it's kind of family day for us. Good to see again a friend, it's been awhile Kring. Happy to know you’re doing well -- Learning to braid :) -- My company’s year-end party with reggae theme. Good food, good music!
Went home to province to celebrate Christmas with family. Cooking with style, the youth from our neighborhood is hosting a party and they are cooking for the children’s snacks -- And some kids these days are too techie, see this toddler taking a selfie and these tweens getting to know smart watches.
The reason for the this season and the season to bond with cousins. That’s why I love December.
Went back to Cebu to celebrate New Year’s Day at our new home. #Grateful for 2016.

And that's a wrap for 2016.

November 2016 WrapUp

Another super late post here…:(

While still at province, these cousins make the most of their bonding time by having an early blowing of the birthday cake candle celebration. One of these kiddos turn a year older this month. Since we cannot stay longer to until her birthday, we decided to celebrate early :) Back at work, I received these goodies from a workmate who came home from business trip bringing sweets with autumn theme wrappers reminding us of autumn. No autumn here in this side of the world through. The son has colds and dry coughs and doesn’t go away even with a double dose of Vit. Cs and water. His Pedia (Dr. Lopez) already advised this mucolytic to soften those sticky thick mucus.
We were invited at the SM City Cebu Princess Academy event at SM City Cebu. Thanks again Naomi for the invite.  At the Princess Academy, little girls were taught to greet friends, to sit, to stand and to walk properly, with confidence like a princess. During their tea party, they were also taught to use the utensils and table manners.
Making Hello Kitty Cake Pops but was a flop :( This is the chopstick from Akita Restaurant, I’m so craving for their Miso Ramen but because of their November sale, crowd is huge that their waiting time takes longer too. Still, we waited for the ramen and while waiting, had stare on this chopstick with cute package. Also joined SunLife’s Financial Advisor Training and played its version of monopoly. I find it educational, entertaining and fun.
I won a JBL T300A Headphone from Lazada Affiliate Raffle! Weeeh! Super Thank You Lazada for the opportunity :) Simple celebration for the kid’s yaya. Thankful for the her help watching and taking good care of my kids while me and husband are at work. Yes, Christmas tree was up :)

October 2016 WrapUp

I know, I know...This is way too late! Nevertheless, I will still post it :)

It was a busy month for me at work. Despite, I never let McDonald’s Grand Halloween Family Fun invitation pass. Thankful for McDonald’s Philippines and Mommy Bloggers Philippines, my kids get to enjoy activities in store for the kids, received happy meal treats and even witness Ronald McDonalds and friends dance. Surely a grand event. Thanks again McDonalds Philippines.

Went to mall and got stuck at book section. Sometimes they are fond of books... with pictures. The son needs to memorize any nursery rhymes and I chose Jack Be Nimble.

Excited to be home again even this young man. Airline flights are delayed lately so we opt to go home by boat though voyage takes long like 8hrs or more. At province, seldom that these kiddos get to bond with MommyLa :) And this pretty little baby is just to admirable.

We were able to stroll Centrio Ayala and found Dino Play. Too bad we don’t have enough time to play inside but displays outside is also worth to play with :)
November and December 2016 WrapUp coming up :)

September 2016 WrapUp

September… start of ber months. In this side of the world, people start preparing for Christmas, either for decorations or for early christmas shopping. For us, it’s been a busy month too. It started out our youngest birthday celebration. He requested for Star Wars cake and walah! The kids has no class so we were able to treat them lunch and for the kids to play at Parkmall Playmaze. We seldom let them play at the indoor play centers --- it's part of our reward / treat.

Purchased stuff from G Stuff. Their service needs improvement though (some of the stuffs don’t have expiration date so I was not able to use it. I give them a  feedback but I only received an apology (I mean no actions given like if I can return the goods or anything to suffice the expenses I incurred to those unusable stuffs). Anyways I will not dwell much on those misfortunes considering I love their soap. Went to visit Cebu HappyWorld Museum. Some DIY shelves from the husband.

Invited to Golden Prince’s Press Release as they celebrate their 50th anniversary. Love the Halo-Halo treat :)

School’s Foundation was so much fun. The youngest is no longer shy as he dances in front of the crowd. We visited lots of exhibits and get to interact with other students. I enjoyed it too :)

August 2016 WrapUp

August was a very busy month for me especially at work. There was an escalation issue tag as Code Red which means, the customer is no longer happy with our delivery. Too much time at work and less leisure time thus few moments captured. Plus my phone is not cooperating or maybe because too much file is stored in it thus the need to clean it up :( (I’m a hoarder so I’ll just let the photos and videos stayed for awhile)

A layover from this little visitor. Dubai’s version of KitKat. Marang fruit from home.

Locally-made Polvoron. Ready for “Araw ng Wika” celebration. Son’s version of spaceship (he’d rather create his own than follow Lego’s instruction)

Received Stickerkid sticker labels. This little boy is busy putting the labels on his belonging. Refer for detailed story about stickerkid here.

Hubby is back. Yippee! Spaghetti and Baby Back Ribs to celebrate the Feast of St. Augustine.

July 2016 WrapUp

This is late but better late than never :)
I love July coz its my birth month!
Thought to make this month special by of joining Fat Mum Slim’s Photo A Day challenge. I was able to start the challenge but failed to complete it. These are some of my captured photos for July 1 - A for Amplaya. July 4 - D for Daughter. July 6 - F for Frames.

On my birthday, woke up to this greeting card from my kids. A reminder of God’s gift of life. Power was busted on that day but grateful for VECO’s responsive service. They have an emergency hotline and immediately answer queries related to VECO concerns. They were able to fix as timely as they could that we were able to have lunch at Kuya Js. It's my birthday --- thought of giving a treat by not cooking and no dishes to wash for lunch :)
Neil, my friend and a birthday buddy, spared precious time to celebrate with me and the rest of the berks. They visited Cebu for a vacation so celebrating together again is indeed memorable. Got a birthday treat at the office too --- thanks Pao for the Krispy Kreme doughnuts and for the photos :)

Also received, birthday cake from Vikings Buffet Restaurant during our team bonding. A big "thank you to company's team bonding budget.
Rainy season is here and the kids were asking if they could take a bath in the rain...and then one day in July, I finally gave in :) even to their spaghetti cravings - one kid wants a red sauce while the other kid wants white sauce in it.

Brought DaddyLo to Buffet 101 for a treat. Buffet 101 has a birthday promo wherein a birthday celebrant can avail free buffet as long as accompanied by 3 full paying adults.

Rare opportunity for kids to get along and pose for me and a rare opportunity for me to eat again these sweet goodies from Japan. These goodies made me miss so much my HGST (HITACHI) days and Japan days. Hope we could visit Japan soon :)

June 2016 WrapUp

Was able to join the Cebu Foodies’ feast at Akita Japanese Restaurant. The succulent treat of salad, gyoza, deep fried vegetables, fried buttered chicken and of course the ramen is so enjoyable. To call it a night, we have to put an extra room for the yummy pizzas from Ruby Rocks Pizza and Pasta. I’m already full but I can’t resist those pizzas :) My parents are in town and we let them try Akita Japanese Restaurant too :)

Last month was dedicated for daddies, papas, tatays, dadas and to all doing the responsibility of a father. Here is hubby who’ll do anything for the our kid’s joy and happiness. How lucky they are. The youngest trying to capture the beauty of the city from Taoist Temple. The eldest doing a #ootd pose :) with the temple in the background.

Received sweet treats from thoughtful friends. Really not in the mood that day and this note and the goodies brighten up my day :) Thanks Jim and Jandy :)
Photo Op with the cube. Remembering Wawa Eng2x over pizza. MommyMundo’s ExpoMom2016.

Celebrating 11 years of togetherness. Father’s Day Greeting cards from the kids. And the youngest who loves cleaning his bike.

Terrific June isn’t it! How about you? How was your June.

May 2016 WrapUp

Seeing these tomatoes grow and multiply albeit the aphids and drought is happiness :) Home gardening becomes a therapy and I’m thinking of planting another vegetables, any ideas? | Last month was a blast as we embark our adventure to Luzon. It was tiring yet so much fun. It has been awhile so everyone was excited especially our youngest son. It is his first time to visit Luzon. Look at the excitement in his face.

Manila Ocean Park, I feel for the animals being displayed as exhibits. But if there is an assurance that these animals are properly taken cared of and ensuring the accommodation is the same if not almost close to their habitat then I’ll be assured. As much as we want to explore the the world to see these animals, yet we can’t for now so seeing my kids being captivated by these creatures especially those ginormous ones is a beautiful feeling. Closer than just seeing on books and TV shows. Read more here for our Manila Ocean Park experience.

Seeing familiar places and faces. I miss living in Calabarzon area :) Went to peek Tagaytay too but was not able to capture photos from my phone.

Having fun with puppies and cousins and our Enchanted Kingdom experience.

Took a peek on our national hero's park. We had a hard time getting an angle without including the infamous photobomber Torre De Manila Condo. LOL! Exotic Balut anyone? And a glimpse of Dreamplay before heading home.

Hope you have a marvelous May too :)

April 2016 WrapUp

Yep, another sushi lunch experience from Buffet 101, this time courtesy from company’s team building budget. I realized that my serving consist mainly of rice...lots of carbohydrates it is. We also planted watermelon in our little home garden but unfortunately the watermelon was infested by aphids and because I don’t want to use pesticide or  soap solution to spray on it, I had to remove the watermelon vines to avoid infesting other plants. Need to study more on home gardening, huh :) . We were invited to Maggy’s birthday party and get to watch magic show for free. Thanks again for the invitation.

Found these adorable puppies for free adoption and as much as the kids want to take them home, we have to accept the truth that we can’t afford the have one or even the responsibility of raising one… soon maybe. Worthwhile talk with friends, talks about childhood fun, high school misadventures, college problems, lovelife, kids, today and future. Having to live far from hometown, seeing a childhood friend is surely a remedy. Ramen! Craving satisfied!

This kid easily gets tired carrying his stuff, huh! He said it is heavy! Tried the brownie recipe from my mommy friend Jinx but seems like it's a bit dry. Maybe too long in the oven. Also tried another recipe from my friend from the other side of the word, Ange and Ross, but the husband said that the taste is not the same as what Ange made. Oh well! There is always first time.

At last, the kids get to enjoy summer. Enjoyed a ride from a merry-go-round and some splashes to beat the summer heat at Bahia Resort.

Trying out a new shawarma menu from Shawarma Gourmet Cebu. There shawarma is flavorful but servings are small for their price. Nevertheless, I still love to go back there. It rained last month and I'm thankful for this blessing from heaven..thus trying on macro shots on rain drops.

March 2016 WrapUp

I kept telling the husband to try the cakes of new dessert store, 10 Dove Street, that has a been a buzz for a while. Some local bloggers posts good reviews and I want to taste and savor their cakes too. Finally, last March and due to constant bugging, the husband gave in, he even brought the kids with us. 10 Dove Street offer lots of cake flavors but because its expensive for us, we settle on chocolate cake. The 4yo seems to like it and indulged every bit on it as he never bother to look at the camera when I requested him to. The place has outdoor dining options, nice for those who prefer fresh air or who can't stand cold air-conditioned room (like me). The 10yo like it too.
The office's IT floor was caught on fire last March, thankfully due to Fire Prevention Awareness campaign, everyone was quick to respond, even the city's Fire Department :) Louie and family recently open their new cafe called HASH, and I get to try their corned beef and egg meal. Honey is officially a double digit (I'm getting old :) She requested for rainbow cupcakes.

March is also hubby's birth month and because it falls on a holy week, we settle on biko and binignit. Indeed, lots of reason to give thanks to our Almighty God. Celebrating also Jesus Christ's love for mankind who offer himself for our us to be save. And this eggplant is so strong and firm amidst the drought experienced due to El Nino phenomenon.

Enjoyed a birthday treat by Buffet 101, nice ambiance and widest selection of food from Asian and Western cuisine. Got Ge's pasalubong from Taiwan, loved the almond nuggests...weeeh!

Hope you had a marvelous march too?
:)

Gaga over Descendants of the Sun

Been addicted recently with the latest Korean TV Series, Descended from the Sun. I am thankful I have friends f younger generation as I get updated with this trend. Silly me but yeah, I still feel flutters and butterflies and "kilig" feel watching selected  korean tv series.

This series is about a love story about a special force soldier and a doctor, each has its own principle to hold on to. While the soldier is upfront with his feelings towards her, he can afford to stood her out on date whenever there is an urgent military-related order. The doctor although feels the same way is hesitant, afraid and confused. Their connection - war zone area.
Another pair in this series is the soldier's best friend who is in love with a general's daughter who is also a  soldier. Reluctantly loving her since the general does not like it.

I'm no movie critic, I'm just a fan mesmerized by the charm and chemistry of the lead actors. :)

Already in Episode 6 and can't wait for Wednesdays and Thursdays of the week.

February 2016 Wrap-Up

Whew! That was fast!
Second month of the year had gone already.
No new post for me and still hadn't done with my new site.
So for now, here's last month's wrap-up through my mobile phone's photos :)

The kids are still overwhelmed from being able to go out of the house and play outside and interact with nature and dogs... I mean stray dogs. The little kid had gone overboard as he befriended one of the stray dogs and let it licked his open cut wounds. It gave us so much panic since we don't if the said dog was vaccinated. To be assured, we got the little kid vaccinated for tetanus and rabies vaccines. Seen this lion dance last eve Chinese New Year as they celebrate the coming of the year of the monkey. As for me, tried homeopathic therapy for my anemia and was advised for detoxify my body first.

Remember the view we had last month? It was gone too soon!
Seems like another residential place will be put up! I hate it when a farmland is destroyed for some personal consumption. Oh well! The cons for aiming an economic progress or whatever progress it is. Ouch! Sayang!
Moving on, hubby treated us with sumptuous lunch last Valentines Day. A lunch of no cooking and dishes to wash :) plus a Halo-Halo and Banana Turon before the V-Day ends! Nice combination by the way.

The little boy shows interest in drawings and sketches. He showed me ate honey and his ship with a rocket on it. I guess he got from me...hehehe. My father-in-law was here for his quarterly check-up and thankful for a good result, thus another dinner treat :) And before this month end, we got a chance to visit my niece who celebrated her 7th birthday, a chance for the cousins to bond.

How about you and family? How was your February :)

We had a chance for a staycation at Kandaya Resort. It was when travel restrictions were lifted and we completed our vaccination. Located at...
