Licealiz Leads Nationwide Oplan Alis Kuto

About one-third of elementary public school students in the Philippines suffer from head lice problems. Children are either teased, bullied or ignored for having head lice, which is a common cause for some of them to miss school. And though parents try their best to comb out their children’s lice with their "suyod", it is often not enough to remove lice that can lay up to 100 eggs in a lifetime.

As a part of their Kilusang Kontra Kuto effort to raise awareness about lice infestation issues in the Philippines, Licealiz Head Lice Treatment Shampoo will be conducting Nationwide Oplan Alis Kuto in Cebu, travelling to different schools and barangays all over the city to educate communities on lice prevention and treatment by arranging shampooing programs and activities for students and parents.

Aside from being an inconvenience to their hosts, head lice are a menace to the whole community. They are easily transmitted in homes and schools, between friends, classmates and family members and the stigma associated with being infested can leave lasting damage to people’s reputations and psychological well-being.

“We want to empower local communities by giving them the information and materials they need to get rid of lice for good, along with the negative connotation attached to being infested,” says Licealiz Senior Marketing Associate Jacquiline Pe. “Everyone can be potentially infested by kuto. It is not a disease or something to be ashamed about, and those infested are not to be ridiculed. It is a problem that can be solved with proper support from every member of the community.”

This November, the Licealiz team has already travelled to different schools around Cebu including:
- Pardo Elementary School,
- Guadalupe Elementary School,
- Talisay Elementary School,
- City Central Elementary School, and
- Inayawan Elementary School,
They will be at  Marigondon Elementary School on November 14, 2016 for Nationwide Oplan Alis Kuto. They have already visited schools around Luzon and will be visiting more schools in Visayas and Mindanao over the next few months.
Licealiz invites everyone to join the Kilusang Kontra Kuto in changing the public’s perception about kuto infestation and spreading correct information regarding head lice prevention and treatment.

September 2016 WrapUp

September… start of ber months. In this side of the world, people start preparing for Christmas, either for decorations or for early christmas shopping. For us, it’s been a busy month too. It started out our youngest birthday celebration. He requested for Star Wars cake and walah! The kids has no class so we were able to treat them lunch and for the kids to play at Parkmall Playmaze. We seldom let them play at the indoor play centers --- it's part of our reward / treat.

Purchased stuff from G Stuff. Their service needs improvement though (some of the stuffs don’t have expiration date so I was not able to use it. I give them a  feedback but I only received an apology (I mean no actions given like if I can return the goods or anything to suffice the expenses I incurred to those unusable stuffs). Anyways I will not dwell much on those misfortunes considering I love their soap. Went to visit Cebu HappyWorld Museum. Some DIY shelves from the husband.

Invited to Golden Prince’s Press Release as they celebrate their 50th anniversary. Love the Halo-Halo treat :)

School’s Foundation was so much fun. The youngest is no longer shy as he dances in front of the crowd. We visited lots of exhibits and get to interact with other students. I enjoyed it too :)

August 2016 WrapUp

August was a very busy month for me especially at work. There was an escalation issue tag as Code Red which means, the customer is no longer happy with our delivery. Too much time at work and less leisure time thus few moments captured. Plus my phone is not cooperating or maybe because too much file is stored in it thus the need to clean it up :( (I’m a hoarder so I’ll just let the photos and videos stayed for awhile)

A layover from this little visitor. Dubai’s version of KitKat. Marang fruit from home.

Locally-made Polvoron. Ready for “Araw ng Wika” celebration. Son’s version of spaceship (he’d rather create his own than follow Lego’s instruction)

Received Stickerkid sticker labels. This little boy is busy putting the labels on his belonging. Refer for detailed story about stickerkid here.

Hubby is back. Yippee! Spaghetti and Baby Back Ribs to celebrate the Feast of St. Augustine.
